Materials and Supplies
Materials used collectively for printmaking are provided by the Studio, including acid, inks, solvents and chemicals In the preparation of photo-etching plates, the Studio favors the use of Ecoresist-60, a low-toxicity liquid photo resist classed in the safety category of oil paint and using an aqueous developer.
Personal printmaking materials (transparencies, metal plates, printing paper) are paid for separately by residents. The Studio has them in stock; they can also be purchased at art stores in Lucca and Florence.
The Studio is equipped with computers, a scanner and Photoshop CS. Technical assistance is available for this equipment as for everything else.
